How To Stay Fit During The Holidays

Staying fit during the holidays is easier than you think!

The holidays are fast approaching… which probably means your schedule for next few weeks will be filled with traveling, family gatherings and lots of delicious food. And this might mean you won’t have that much time (or energy) to prioritize your health and fitness routine.

And that’s completely okay! However, if you want to stay as fit as possible during the holidays, without dieting, or being overly restrictive, keep scrolling to find some simple tips to keep you on track:

1. Schedule Time To Workout

The Holidays can get hectic, and your schedule might look a lot different than usual. But one of the best ways to stay fit during the holidays is making sure you are blocking out some time to work out.

Usually, the best way of doing this is scheduling some time during the morning to get a quick workout in before anything else comes up! And remember: You don’t have to spend hours working out. You don’t have to burn extra calories off. You don’t have to interrupt family time to go to the gym.

Get rid of that all-or-nothing mentality and just make sure you are prioritizing a few minutes in the morning to go for a walk, do a quick HIIT workout or follow a yoga flow

2. Stay Hydrated

We all know how good holiday drinks are, but staying hydrated will be key to help you stay fit during the holidays! Drinking plenty of water will help you control your appetite and flush out toxins.

Drinking a glass of water before a big meal can also help you reduce the amount of extra food you consume as our brains sometimes confuse thirst with hunger!

It can be very helpful to bring a bottle of water everywhere you go to make sure you are staying hydrated during the day!

3. Find An Accountability Partner

Staying motivated during the holidays is tough, so working out with a partner or telling your goals and plans to someone else will make it 1000 times easier!

Consistency is a big part of staying healthy during the holidays! It’s very easy putting a workout off or going all out during dinner time. But if you get a friend to stay active with you, it can help you stick with it!

Staying fit during the holidays should not prevent you from having fun with your family. It shouldn’t make you feel guilty for treating yourself or force you to go to the gym for hours on end to burn off the extra calories.
